Aug. 17 LOGANSPORT
The varsity lost to the Berries 1-4. The Kings lone win came at 1
doubles with Tyler Ploss and Isaac Yentes winning 6-3, 6-0. The JV won 5-0 with Chris Laudenschlager winning in a tiebreaker to give the JV the
sweep.
Aug. 20 CASS
INVITATIONAL 8 a.m. Hamilton Heights swept the four team
tournament. Tyler Ploss and Isaac Yentes came in second at the 1 Doubles
position with a record of 2-1.
Aug. 24 DELPHI 4:30 p.m.
Both Varsity and JV defeated the Oracles. The Varsity
winning 4-1 and JV winning 5-0. Riley Johnson pulled out a marathon match in a
tiebreaker at the 3 singles position. The Kings could possibly meet Delphi in
the Sectional.
Aug. 25 at Western 4:30
p.m. The Varsity lost a close match 2-3 against the
ranked Panthers. Both doubles teams pulled out wins in three sets. The JV
stays undefeated with a 4-1 win. The Kings are now 0-1 in the MIC.
Aug. 27 Logansport Invite. 9 a.m.
Marion won the eight team tournament. Logansport was
runner-up while Cass came in fourth. Cass started off the day by beating Seeger
3-2. Then, in the second round, they were swept 5-0 by a tough Marion team, who
had the #3 ranked singles player in the state. Cass finished off the day by losing
to Wabash 2-3.
Aug. 30 at Hamilton Heights 4:30
p.m. The Varsity fell to the Huskies last night 1-4.
Josh Harshman and Ryan Aldridge at 2 Doubles came away with the only win of the
night 6-1, 6-1. The JV stays undefeated with a 3-2 win. Cass falls to 0-2 in the
MIC.
Aug. 31 at Carroll 4:30 p.m.
The Kings won 5-0 against a small Carroll team. The
Cougars only had enough player for a Varsity team and a 1 JV singles position.
Coach Thomas mixed up the lineup, going with Josh Harshman at 1 singles, Chris
Laudenschlager at 2 singles and Austin Keisling at 3 singles. Tyler Ploss and
Isaac Yentes stayed at the 1 doubles position and Kyle Williams and Riley
Johnson played at the 2 doubles position. Brady Truman played at the 1 JV
singles spot. Everyone won his match.
Sept. 6 at Peru 4:30 p.m.
The Kings defeated the Tigers 3-2 on a cold, windy evening
in Peru. Nick Jackson won at No. 3 Singles 6-4, 6-4. Tyler Ploss and Isaac
Yentes won 6-2, 6-2, and Josh Harshman and Ryan Aldridge won Josh Harshman and
Ryan Aldridge 6-1, 6-0. Peru did not have a JV team. This is the first time Cass has ever beaten Peru in Men's
Tennis. Cass is now 1-2 in the MIC.
Sept. 8
at Tippy Valley 4:30 p.m. Match cancelled do to rain.
Sept. 13 EASTERN 4:30 p.m.
The Kings defeated the Comets by a 3-2 score. Riley
Johnson pulled out another marathon three-set match. Both doubles teams continue
their dominance by winning in blowout fashion. The Kings are now 2-2 in the MIC.
Sept 14
NORTHWESTERN 4:30 p.m. The Kings lost to the rivaling Northwesteren Tigers
2-3. The first half of the match was played on the 14th and was finished on the
26th. The Kings only points coming from
Tyler Ploss and Isaac Yentes at the No.1 Doubles position
and from Josh Harshman and Ryan Aldridge at the No.2 Doubles spot. The Kings are
now 2-4 in the MIC.
Sept. 19 MACONAQUAH 4:30 p.m.
The Kings lost to their MIC rival Maconaquah by a 3-2
score.
Josh Harshman and Ryan Aldridge win again at the No.
2 Doubles position with a 6-3, 6-3 win. The JV stays undefeated by winning 5-0
again. The Kings are 2-3 in the MIC.
Sept. 22 TAYLOR
4:30 p.m. The Kings lost to 1-4 to Taylor. Josh Harshman
and Ryan Aldridge came out with the only win against the Titans. Taylor did not
have a big enough team for JV. The Kings fall to 2-5 in the MIC.
Sept. 26 ROSSVILLE 4:30 p.m. Match

Sept. 29/30/Oct. 1 Logansport Sectional The Kings ended their season with close 2-3 loss to Logansport. Both doubles teams came away with victories. Tyler Ploss and Isaac Yentes won 6-4, 6-2 and Josh Harshman and Ryan Aldridge won 7-6, 6-1. Because Tyler and Isaac are the No.1 Doubles team they will move on to play Westfield in the Kokomo Regional.
Oct. 4 Kokomo Regional Tyler Ploss and Isaac Yentes ended thier season in heartbreaking fashion with a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 loss to Westfield. The match was close throughout and the boys fought hard. According to Coach Thomas they played their best tennis of the season. Tyler and Isaac finish with a record of 13-5.
