Varsity/J.V. Volleyball

Aug. 18 at Twin Lakes 6 p.m. Lewis Cass played hard until the very last point, but couldn't beat the Indians. Varsity lost in three 19-25, 20-25, 11-25. Jv lost in two 20-25, 19-25.

Aug. 20 Elwood Invit. 9 a.m. Cass Varsity had a hard day at the Elwood tourny where they played four games. The kings were competitive in every match and defeated Seton Catholic but fell to Tipton, Elwood and Mississinewa.

Aug. 23 at Southwood 6 p.m.- The Kings were defeated by the Knights in three matches. They played a good game but could not pull off a win.

Aug. 25 OAK HILL 6 p.m.- The Lady Kings played a great game but came up short. They went into four games 18-25, 18-25, 25-20, 19-25. Jv forced the eagles to a third match but couldn't finish the match and lost 21-25, 25-22, 9-15.

Aug. 30 ROCHESTER 6 p.m.-  Varsity was defeated by Rochester in three matches 25-8, 25-11, 25-6. Jv played hard but couldn't get the win with two matches 5-25 and 17-25.
 

Sept. 1 PERU 6 p.m. Lady Kings couldn't finish off the Tigers and were beat in four games 25-18,  25-19,  20-25,  25-21. Jv played great but were defeated in three.

Sept. 6 CASTON 6 p.m. Lewis Cass beat Caston to get their first home win! Varsity won in four 25-18, 19-25, 25-20, 25-14. Jv couldn't shut down the Comets and were defeated in three.


Sept. 8 KOKOMO 6 p.m. Varstiy defeated Kokomo in a nail biter! The game went to five sets 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-27, 15-9 and the Kings came out on top. Jv played a competitive game but were defeated 25-28, 25-28.


Sept. 10 at Rossville Tourney 9 a.m. The Lady Kings had a long day and were pleased with their performance at the end. After four matches the kings had a record of 1-4 with all of the sets going to three matches except Rossville who beat the kings 25-21, 25-16 and Seegers who were defeated by Cass 16-25, 12-25. North Miami beat the kings 25-20, 23-25, 15-9. Faith Christian defeated Varsity 25-20, 21-25,15-12.


Sept. 12 at Logansport 6 p.m. Cass was defeated by Logansport in three 25-15,  25-16,  25-10. JV was beat in two 25-8, 25-10.


Sept. 13 at North Miami 6 p.m.Varsity was defeated in three 19-25, 16-25, 18-25. Jv was defeated in two.


Sept. 15 EASTERN 6 p.m.  The Kings just couldn't finish the match and were defeated by Eastern in four 25-12, 16-25, 15-25, 12-25. Jv played hard but couldn't pull off the win and were defeated in two.


Sept. 20 at Maconaquah 6 p.m. The Lady Kings preformed well at the annual Play for Pink game which benifited breast cancer research. The Kings lost in three 25- 14, 25-9, 25- 12, but the fundraiser was a huge success. The JV also lost in two 25- 10, 25-13.


Sept. 22 at Carroll 6 p.m. Varsity beat Carroll in three matches 25-20, 25-15, 25-16. JV was defeated in a nail biter after three close matches of 25-14, 16- 25, 11-15.


Sept. 26 PIONEER 6 p.m.  Cass varsity was beaten by Pioneer in three 13- 25, 8-25, 19-25. JV also fell to the Panthers in two 14-25, 20- 25.


Sept. 29 at Taylor 6 p.m. Varsity defeated the Titans in five close matches 25-15, 18-25, 16-25, 25-21, 17-15. JV played hard and earned their first win in three games 25-19, 20-25, 13-15.


Oct. 3 WABASH 6 p.m.  The Lady kings fell to Wabash in three games 25-15, 25-18, 25-14. JV was defeated in two 16-25, 14-25.


Oct. 4 at Western 6 p.m. Cass fell to the panthers in three 14-25, 13-25, 17-25. JV was beaten in a close match 25-18, 21-25, 15-13.


Oct. 10 NORTHWESTERN 6 p.m. Lewis Cass fell to Northwestern in three 25-17, 25-19, 25-22. JV was also defeated in two matches 25-12, 25-15.


Oct. 12 HAMILTON HEIGHTS 6 p.m. (Senior Night) Varsity fell in the fifth game to Hamilton Heights after four games 25-17, 22-25, 25-10, 14-25, 12-15. The Jv game was cancelled resulting in a forfeit and win for the JV.


Oct. 15 Cass County Tourney @ Caston 5 p.m.  The Lady Kings Varsity placed third in the Cass County tournement after defeating Caston in three sets and losing to Logansport in two sets.

Oct. 19/20/22- Sectional TBA-  The volleyball season came to an end when the Lady Kings fell to the Apaches in three matches  25-20, 25-18, 25-12.  The Lady Kings played some great volleyball but couldn't pull out a win. Maddie eurit had four kills and three aces and three digs, Claire Crum had three kills, three aces and five digs. Emily robertson had had seven digs and Kassi zeck had eight, Kelsey Thieke had four kills.
